Change to tonight's agenda

Today students wrote in their Agenda to complete Religion and have it signed. Unfortunately we did not get to this activity today (we will be doing it tomorrow instead).

Students have been given a copy of the book and reminded that it is their responsibility to return it in the same condition in which they received it. Today students also received a red duotang that contains the list of jobs, their group number, and the weekly readings and due dates. Jobs are due each Thursday which gives students plenty of time to complete their assigned job. Please note, it is very important that students follow the schedule for their assigned job each week as this will help with the group's weekly discussions.

EAP Update

Tomorrow morning our business partner will be joining us and the top Charities from each class will be presenting to the group. From our class, we had a tie for the top charity between DIFD and Tyson's Wish. These 2 groups will join the lead charities from Miss Beardsley and Ms Arcuri's classes and then the group will vote for the charity we want to support with our EAP endeavours. Great job everyone! I really enjoyed watching all of your presentations and seeing how passionate you all were about your charities! :)

Updates/Reminders

Today WWW Quizzes (from yesterday) were sent home to be signed as well as Assessment folders (there's a strip of paper stapled inside the folder with a spot for a signature).

Also, I reminded the class today that student agendas should be at school each day in order to help with organization and planning as well as a communication tool between home and school. I believe that it is the student's job to bring his/her agenda to school each day so they should not be saying, "My mom/dad forgot to put it in my bag." If a student's agenda is being forgotten at home frequently, 5 minutes of recess time will be owed by that student.

Reminders:
  1. Tomorrow is McDonald's Night
  2. Where in the World? Project due Thursday

Tomorrow, St. Stephen School is celebrating National Sweater Day. National Sweater Day is a fun way to learn about the importance of saving energy and to inspire everyone to use less heat during the winter. All students are encouraged to wear a cozy sweater.
